How Running Ads Is Making Me Money

I’ve been running meta and google ads recently for my personal brand packages and I’ve been blown away with how well they’ve worked. Let me break down how this simple ad and offer is making me moneys.

First the offer - It had to be so good it would be stupid to say no to. Two packages with 3 or 10 high quality commercial grade images for an absolute bargain price (also you get my cool style 😁). This also had to be easy for me to fulfill as its a lower ticket item compared to larger campaigns I shoot so they are each fulfilled in under a day.

Ad Content - The ad needed a hook, ‘Are you looking to build your personal brand but don’t know where to start?’, this gains my ideal audiences attention. Then I go into who I am, what I do and what I offer.

The key to the ad is coming across authentic and also providing proof. With my images continually running on screen and social proof that Ive done this a lot of times.

Shoot & Edit - This was extremely simple. One key light in my little office, my R5 and a shot gun mic. Then I just banged out the script in bite sized chunks (cause I defs cant do it in one take haha) until we have some footage. Quick cut together in final cut and we are done!

Ad Targeting - The targeting in meta was actually extremely simple now with its latest upgrade. I have just limited my target area to Brisbane and let it do the rest. It has worked amazingly in targeting the right people as every lead I get are exactly who I want to work with. Google was a little more finessing with key words and copy but still, very simple. Another key is sending the lead to a dedicated landing page that is constructed in a way to completely qualify them to book.

The Final Break Through - This has all worked well in getting people to book or message but the real game changer was when I started DMing people that followed me on Instagram from my ad. These are all ‘Hot Leads’ as they came to me specifically from my offer or seeing my work so you know they are interested. Extending the final olive branch in a DM ‘Hey I love what you do, what made you like my work’, has lead to booking after booking.
